yeah mirella ive done it - it was due in tuesday at 4, i finished it at 1 and then got bolloxed so missed the deadline. i posted to my teacher yesterday cos i couldnt find him - lazy bastard wasn't in at all yesterday!! i think it alright considering i only started monday afternoon, and i haven't been to a seminar in 10-12 weeks!

hehe.....yeah i've tried the vague email thig...it worked really well hehe! and yeah last min essays seems to be the way forward.....or maybe the only way for me

i'm with tom on the 'never having to write another essay' front.

if you're a first year you really, really, really have NOTHING to worry about when it comes to essays. you might want to put a little effort in if you're in your second or third years, but really don't exert yourselves.

i graduated with a 2:1 and never started writing an essay before the night before it was due in. oh, maybe thats not ENTIRELY true, but i certainly never finished one with more than 12 hours to spare.

and if you want an extension, a really vague e-mail about how you had to go home for the weekend normally does the trick. in fact a really truthful e-mail about how you've planned your time really badly normally works as well.

i think im the same with essays as you mirella and mojo - cant be bothered untill the pressure is on and i like to go to the pub half way through - cant be bothered at all sometimes and need some sustinance!! in fact there are some essays i havent even bothered with
but then i am a lazy f*cker when i comes to work i'd rather do anything else sometimes!!

i think my problem is a short concentration span. i get bored really easi...

i'm the same as wee mirelly, i can't work b4 i have the pressure and my core working hours are between 11pm and 2 am......honestly!! i can't work during the day, unless i HAVE to......in which case i just get on and do it......i'm working on spending more time on essays.........just so i get into good habit for 2nd yr when i will no doubt be even busier than i am now.....and essays will be forgotten

The ridiculous thing is they're both first years. When it gets past midnight stop and just hand in what you've done the next morning, even if it's just the title (worth about 3% alone). Start the next one earlier to make up the marks; you'll still past the year.

I havent done an essay in over two years and i never will again.

that is a very special feeling.
