Hi

Um, I wandered in here off Google and thought I'd add my input ^^;

The original layout and background artist of The Simpsons was from Chelmsford, Massachusetts. The school Bart goes to is McCarthy Middleschool (then a high school), it's an exact replica. And there's an ice cream stand, Sully's, that's replicated in an episode. Oh, and there's a Springfield down the road a bit from here.

chris morris is in a school telling the kids that if they start doing cake then one minute they'll be having the time of the lives and the next minute they'll be saying 'where the shitting crikey is my nose'.

The KBBL radio station is an important clue. ALL radio stations east of the Mississippi River begin with a W. ALL West of the river begin with a K.

This eliminates Kentucky, Illinois, Massachusetts and several others from being possible candidates.

we can keep it going....let's do favorite simpsons episodes.

mine at the moment is the one when homer starts smoking medical marijuana for his 'glaucoma.' v funny. the other hippie episode is really good too, when the whole town drinks mushroom juice. and of course the one where homer becomes an avant garde artist is fantastic!

that one is legendary as it led to many people attaching any word they wanted to "-amaphone" and saying it that way!

springfield

Here's what I know. That others may not. Rev. Lovejoy is named after a street in Seattle. In the episode where burns opens a casino the hooker being run out of town are hitch hiking to fort bragg which is in North Carolina. Figure out which Springfield is closest to that and there you go. Then take into account Shelbyville, Ogdenville etc. It also has to have ocean access for Springfield harbor. Then again wouldn't it also have to have a nuclear power plant. Lets just call it springfield, America. Could be anywhere or no where. My revelation leaves me depressed. Sigh I'm out.

Simpsons

I will answer the Greatest of all questions...all must worship me!!! NOT.
The Simpsons live in Kentucky. You have to follow the clues. The biggest one is when Homer tries to smuggle sugar into Springfield. Marge askes him if he smuggled the sugar in from south of the border and Homer says, from where, Tennessee. And yes...I do have to much time on my hands.

My Two Cents - they live in Wisconsin.

Proof:
1) In one episode (where the family move out of Springfield because Homer gets a job working for a meglomanic), for about ten seconds near the end, in the bottom right hand corner, a sign appears saying 'Now Leaving Michigan'. Springfield is clearly visible in the distance. The setting sun was also on the right hand side, suggesting they were heading south.

2) In the episode where Marge hooks up with a single mum who takes them on a statewide chase in a stolen car, Chief Wiggum says something odd. "We've got a saying round these parts - let Michigan handle it." Or something to that effect. I can't recall where the sun was in the final scenes either, which would give a clue.

I suppose Minnesota or Illinois is also possible, but like someone said earlier on the thread - it has to be a place where it snows heavily, and where Tennessee is south of the border.

And in answer to your next question - no, I do not possess a life.
