top 5s
okee. now, in the general muso-geeky vein of this message board, i have a little game. i need 5 volunteers - first come first
served. each one has to choose one of the categories below and make their list (only one person is allowed to choose each category):
#top 5 ice cream flavours
#top 5 board games
#top 5 methods of transport
#top 5 items of footwear
#top 5 food shops
and then... everyone else gets to rate the lists in their top 5 order of preference... meh! *sighs* one wee girlie has too much time on her hands...
love and giggles

1)Choc chip
2)Strawberry
3)Raspberry Ripple
4)Mint
5)chunky monkey
I often go to sleep with pyjama bottoms, socks and a t-shirt on. When I awake I am naked. This is a popular phenomenon, known in scientific circles as
theft. My family members steal my clothes in the night and sell them down the market. I often walk to work and see kids wearing the clothes that only
the night before I was sleeping in. It is a disturbing development.

SHOPS WHAT YOU CAN BUY EDIBLES IN
i have to agree on the pistachio ice-cream and of course chunky monkey should come out somewhere very near the top, closely followed by phish food
(though sainsbury's do a pretty good alternative...their rocky road tubs which have lovely gooey marshmallow to sicken yourself with).
can i do the food shops then since nobody else seems to be volunteering?
JULIE'S TOP 5 FOOD SHOPS
1) neal's yard dairy (all that cheese! looks like lush but it's not advisable to wash yourself with your purchases...doesn't smell quite like lush
either)
2) subway - try not to drink all you can in order to get your money's worth. my friend chris did that one time and was very ill afterwards...their
veggie subs are really tasty...make sure you get chillis and everything they're offering
3) tesco - you've seen it all before but they sell a wide variety of food so everyone's happy!
4) sainsbury's - ditto, but they sell the nice pizza express stuff (especially the dough balls...mmmm....dough balls) and their mixed bean salad in a
can is far superior to tesco's one
5) tara traders - just random little shops run by nice indian families and they sell lots of weird things like aniseed stars, mango and chilli sauce,
indian sweets, plantains, huuuuuuuge bags of chilli powder and curry in cans!
feel free to challenge my top 5...anybody else like their food as much as i do?
I would like Julie to be in as mint condition as possible with original book and instructions.

My top five food shops:
1) Highwoods Tesco - so much bigger (and therefore, better), excellent reduced section every day after 4pm for us poor stooodents...
2) Colchester Market - cheap fruit and veg with more money going to the poor small man and farmer! (i have a social conscience when i can be bothered
;-))) )
3) Er....that's my top five in town. Course if we had an Aldi or a Lidl, things would be far different, excellent cheap beer, sweet beer (room for
your ad here!!!)
thought of another
4) Ann Summers, oh yes!!! I think you know what i mean...
5) Thornton's, again for obvious reasons - and that sweet stall opposite mmmmmm...

ah lidl...litres of exotic fruit drinks for less than an english pound, those little waffly cakes, snack bars called 'corny'...worth it for the name
alone, cereal called 'little man balls' (ditto) and assorted weird things in that middle aisle such as cheap boxer shorts and those things you wang
at your friends in the summer that make whistly noises as they fly through the air!

i hate that, i got so much crap about charity shops. But i love em , their nice, affordable and ahem ethical
I love second hand stuff, plus one of the ones near me sold music promos and also had a deal with a local small record company so you could find some
weird cd's in there along with all the great 2nd hand stuff.
