Hey, i too am up for a uni band! I'm a guitarist, but i could give the drums a 'bash' if there's a kit somewhere. I'm not to
clued-up on mudhoney and nirvana, but i'd definitly be up for the bluesy stuff you mentioned (esp. JLH) and some indie-pop niceness.

Sounds like a start, Alex and Samuel. I'm quite happy to play some indie-stuff as that is what I started out listening to and diversity in a band
is great. I'm just really up for starting and playing in a band. So you both play guitar then?

Yeah i've been playing guitar for a while, i only have a semi-acoustic (and amp) at uni though. I'm not too sure where we could practice,
but saw some guy carrying drum sticks around in my tower so i figure there must be a kit/practice room somewhere.

Yeah, I don't yet have my bass at the Uni yet, but obviously we'll have to decide things before we do anything concrete etc. I think if you
can join the Music Society you can use some of the Lecture Theatres to practice, although I'm not sure about hiring out amps etc. What kind of
stuff do you listen to?

I think that's great. I want to hear this band.
“I feel that life is divided into the horrible and the miserable. That's the two categories. The horrible are like, I don't know, terminal
cases, you know, and blind people, crippled. I don't know how they get through life. It's amazing to me. And the miserable is everyone else.
So you should be thankful that you're miserable, because that's very lucky, to be miserable.”

yeah, joining the music society sounds like a good idea. In terms of music, i really like lots of blues, indie, and alike. I'm happy to play any
sort of music though as i'm bored of playing by my lonely self here. haha.
how long have you played bass?

Yeah, sorry i been away all weekend in london town. Im indie + blues (definitely) but I am up for anything and i'll give any music a go. And
it's guitar from me, although i can keep a beat on the drums. probably not such a good idea that i prove this... Music society sounds like a
plan, do you know when they meet etc? plus any of you guys sing?

I have played bass for about 3 or so years. I have had a few lessons but not loads. I can play to a reasonable standard I suppose...

I like lots of stuff really. Hefner, Oasis, Soledad Brothers, The Von Bondies, The Clash, 80s Matchbox B Line Disaster, At the Drive-in, Billy Bragg,
The D4, Hound Dog Taylor, Muddy Waters, Blind Willie McTell, The Slits, Sonic Youth, to name a few. What about you?

Sounds like a well-rounded taste. I too am into a lot of those bands. Also like: black keys, beatles, stones, constantines, british sea power, the
jam, clash, libs, nick drake, gorkys, mogwai, coral, shins, and plenty plenty more.
we're still gonna need a drummer though, you know of anyone?

ah balls, i didnt check indiesoc yesterday so i missed all this discussion. but i did speak to joediddly on messenger. didn't see you guys last
night though, probably due to getting a pitcher of stella (urgh) and being late and therefore not seeing much in general. and i had to wake up for a
9 oclock this morning - i feel like sh*t warmed up and sleep is needed. even though stella is a vile thing i really recommend buying a pitcher - four
pints (five in those little plastic cups) for £4 is bargainous.
glad you like the avatar - that kid is krazy. and he is making me feel even more ill
