I often go to sleep with pyjama bottoms, socks and a t-shirt on. When I awake I am naked. This is a popular phenomenon, known in scientific circles as theft. My family members steal my clothes in the night and sell them down the market. I often walk to work and see kids wearing the clothes that only the night before I was sleeping in. It is a disturbing development.

None of these lists has 'Dress Up In You' in them at all and therefore they are all wrong.

“I feel that life is divided into the horrible and the miserable. That's the two categories. The horrible are like, I don't know, terminal cases, you know, and blind people, crippled. I don't know how they get through life. It's amazing to me. And the miserable is everyone else. So you should be thankful that you're miserable, because that's very lucky, to be miserable.”

This was really hard! A list longer than 30 just shouldn't happen, but here it is:

1. Iā??m Waking Up to Us
2. We Rule the School
3. Piazza New York Catcher
4. Is it Wicked Not to Care?
5. Expectations
6. Donā??t Leave the Light on Baby
7. If She Wants Me
8. Sleep the Clock Around
9. Lazy Line Painter Jane
10. Get me Away from Here Iā??m Dying
11. Sheā??s Losing It
12. Le Pastie de la Bourgeoisie
13. Electronic Renaissance
14. I Could Be Dreaming
15. Seeing Other People
16. The Boy With the Arab Strap
17. Jonathan David
18. Another Sunny Day
19. String Bean Jean
20. Winter Wooskie
21. If Youā??re Feeling Sinister
22. I Donā??t Love Anyone
23. Dog on Wheels
24. Photo Jenny
25. Fox in the Snow
26. Iā??m A Cuckoo
27. To Be Myself Completely
28. Stay Loose
29. Legal Man
30. Beautiful
31. Take Your Carriage Clock and Shove It
32. Like Dylan in the Movies
33. Funny Little Frog
34. Your Coverā??s Blown
35. For the Price of a Cup of Tea
36. Asleep on a Sunbeam
37. This is Just a Modern Rock Song
38. Waiting for the Sun to Rise
39. Marx and Engels
40. White Collar Boy
41. Dirty Dream Number Two
42. Lord Anthony
43. The Model
44. Belle and Sebastian
45. Dear Catastrophe Waitress
46. Act of the Apostle
47. Stars of Track and Field
48. The Chalet Lines
49. The Wrong Girl
50. The Loneliness of the Middle Distance Runner

NB. This list is based on my current mood, sitting at my computer. Changes in location/ emotional state would obviously result in massive fluctuations. No one wants to hear Fox in the Snow on a drunken night out- unless they've just been dumped...

i think it's one of the best on the album! i like the tit for tat verses about friendship and failure and jealousy and desire. it's such a good story, like a mini book in a song. And the key is so sad but then it's got that cute but melancholy horn section that lifts it up.

i love the whole album though, its bloody genius. i'm going to put it on now for cooking and dancing to.

Stay out super late tonight
picking apples, making pies
put a little something in our lemonade and take it with us
weā??re half-awake in a fake empire

except funny little frog and sukie in the graveyard.

i'm just reviewing dress up in you though and i suppose it's not so bad. it's a bit watered down though isn't is?

I thought it would be Robin, but I didn't want to spoil the mystery. We could've kept it going for weeks

I find DUIY to be a bit of a throw back to early B&S, but just not as good, a bit of a self parody (musically that is - lyrically it's ok).

I'm not sure why Sam has a dislike of TLP, though it's probably my 4th favourite B&S album.

I'd have to agree with Robin and Matt on this one. It's probably my 4th favourite B&S LP too... hmmm top albums in order? I'll have to have a think.
