this guy was an important musician.

apart from almost singlehandedly bringing microtonality to the stale tablet of western theory, he was the blueprint for many more recent celebrated heroes like Tom Waits, and err, probably some other people.

He spent a large proportion of his life as a drifter and found great inspiration in this life experience. Even going as far as using drifter grafitti as lyrical material, learning the exact resonant frequencies of different brands of discarded beer bottles and developing tuning systems from analysing other drifters vocal inflections.

Passed away now but his memory isn't going anywhere.
