neon neon
hmm. i heard about these guys via the mercury music awards...
god damn! it's not often you hear great pop music these days, sometimes you forget that it's actually a format with musical value.
Is 'I lust You' a cover of something? I swear I've heard it before or maybe it's so catchy that it just takes one listen to work
it's way deep into my brain.
good job.

I saw them on some Bestival footage last night- just three people, two casio keyboard and electronic drum sticks sitting in a boat in the mud making
ace pop music.

it's boom bip + gruff rhys plus a whole host of special guests like har mar superstar, spank rock, cat le bon, etc. it's a great album,
makes up for the lack of sfa material.

Ah yes, now you come to mention it Har Mar was lying on the floor behind the boat clapping.....I think it's probably one of his better
'talents'.

Clearly Indiesoc is better - you can type in different colours.
I have been listening to a lot of Neon Neon lately, brilliant. I especially like the Eli Escobar remix of I Lust You.
I used to think I had something to say but my dumb ideologies gave me away.

Having come in purely for the ATP vote, I thought I'd say that I saw Neon Neon last night and they were great. Yo Majesty! were really good
supporting as well, they were much funnier than I thought they'd be.
Neon Neon started off as a four-piece (Gruff, Boom Bip, Cate Le Bon playing bass and a drummer) and Har Mar joined them midway through and did the
rest of the set, singing and playing bass and drums and stuff. They also had Yo Majesty! back on for Sweat Shop, and two DeLoreans outside.
I'd advise going to see them pronto, this might be their last tour.
I would like to see the skyline and city lights of New York or Tokyo and then come back to the green fields we know and do nothing, and sleep, and do
that again and again...

I've never got round to listening to this, but having recently heard a fair few separate songs I intend to rectify this shortly.
I often go to sleep with pyjama bottoms, socks and a t-shirt on. When I awake I am naked. This is a popular phenomenon, known in scientific circles as
theft. My family members steal my clothes in the night and sell them down the market. I often walk to work and see kids wearing the clothes that only
the night before I was sleeping in. It is a disturbing development.

A really good album, although a very strange concept. Outside chance for the festive fifty...

Having investigated Neon Neon some more I can conclude that the first song I heard is the only of their songs that I like....

First album was so good - what happened with the second? It felt so slight, think it was less than 30 minutes long! Still a couple of good tunes, but
nowhere near as good as the debut.

What a difference five years makes. Having been forced to listen to Neon Neon on repeat for quite a few years now, I'm less adverse to their
music.
Apparently their show with the Welsh National Theatre is pretty good.

Their new album is a slightly disappointing listen, but in the context of the stage adaptation - which I had the good fortune of seeing at Latitude -
it is awesome times ten.

the latest album just isn't as good, although i'd love to see the live show. very jealous of you for seeing it!
